Walk for Fun and Fitness

 Walk for Fun & Fitness

The Third Annual Walls Walk for Charity is set for Sunday, October 3. Events will begin with registration at 1 p.m. in Bicentennial Park and the actual “walk” kicking off at 2 p.m. Runners and walkers along with those in strollers, wheel chairs and scooters will follow the Mispillion Greenway Trail. Pets on leashes are welcome. Offering an opportunity to pursue fun and fitness, the course covers the entire trail along the river from Maple Avenue to Goat Island. This year, for the first time, participants will get an opportunity to walk on a primitive nature trail on Goat Island. Because the island trail is still in the planning stages, this chance for an early, close-up look will be available that day only.
All participants will return to the kick-off point to enjoy free food and music plus games, a juggler, balloon art, face painting and a moon bounce for kids. The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for senior citizens and students. Children 12 and under can participate free of charge. All proceeds will benefit Youth Programs at Milford Parks and Recreation.
Please see the attached flyer & registration form.
